Blackpool travelled to Huddersfield with skipper Ian Hughes the only injury doubt. Gary Parkinson and Graham Fenton both came through the midweek reserve game, and Macca looked at last to be able to put out something close to his first-choice line-up.
The Seasiders Brett Ormerod grabbed his second hat-trick of the season as the Seasiders wrecked Huddersfield's perfect home record with a 4-2 victory.
The Terriers had won all three home games at the McAlpine Stadium this season but goal-hungry Ormerod was in the mood to break their record and take his scoring so far this season to eight.
It was Huddersfield who made the better start with debutant Nathan Clarke giving the home side the lead after 18 minutes.
Then it all went wrong for Huddersfield when Lee Collins levelled seven minutes later.
By half-time, Ormerod had given Steve McMahon's side a 2-1 lead, and he extended that to 3-1 after 64 minutes.
Huddersfield's American winger John Thorrington waltzed through the Blackpool defence unchallenged to add a second for the Terriers and gave them the slight hope of a comeback with just three minutes left.
But Ormerod made sure the points were going back to Bloomfield Road with his third goal in the fourth minute of stoppage-time.
