The Seasiders talisman injured his foot in the early stages of last week's damaging 3-1 loss to Wigan, which left the club in the Barclays Premier League relegation zone.
Although X-rays earlier this week cleared the 25-year-old Scotland midfielder of any break, he was still rated doubtful for the Magpies' visit to Bloomfield Road.
He has since made a full return to training and manager Ian Holloway said: "Charlie is fine, it's good news for everyone.
"He has not bust his foot, it was just bruising and he has trained for the last two days."
