The 29-year-old has made the most of his move to Bloomfield Road last summer, scoring eight times for the Barclays Premier League newcomers.
Campbell is a late developer, making his name at non-league Yeading before having a spell with Birmingham in 2006-07. He then dropped out of the Premier League, moving on to Leicester and having a loan at Derby, but never lost hope of returning to the top.
Campbell told the club's website, blackpoolfc.co.uk: "I do think of England, it's a dream of mine, it can be a funny game and I could end up getting a cap. I could be another Les Ferdinand or Ian Wright, who both played in non-league football too.
"I've met Cyrille Regis a couple of times as well and he started off in non-league and did it.
"I'd love to think I'm now proving to kids who have had knockbacks and are playing non-league football that it can be done. People think it can't happen in this day and age, but it can."
