Blackpool boss Ian Holloway called on his players to be mentally strong after their poor run continued with a 3-0 defeat at Fulham
The Tangerines are deep in relegation trouble and languish in 17th spot, with just a point separating them from the drop zone, after they were comfortably beaten at Craven Cottage.
Holloway said: "Maybe that run-in we had last year has taken its toll on the likes of Charlie [Adam] and [David] Vaughan.
"But mentally we have got to be strong and that is what I will be looking at.
"I'll be showing them how well they've done, how well they can do and even today (Sunday) look at the possession, which I thought we were terrific at times.
"But it's all good having a dance around but you need to knock them out and we didn't really look like that."
Holloway targets two more wins
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has promised to "crack the whip" when his side get back to Lancashire after the 3-0 defeat at Fulham.
Holloway`s side were subdued in defeat and the boss does not want his players` heads to drop again during the vital the run-in.
"I've told them all to go away and watch how we got promoted last year and the goals we've scored this year and tell me we are a bad side," he said.
"I've asked them to do that because we need to remain totally positive. We can have probably five defeats and two victories and we'd still up, I believe.
"Whether I'm right or wrong, you asked me about it and 39 points might keep us up. If we do that it'll be a fantastic achievement, better than last year.
"And that's the truth because really, truthfully speaking, the quality that the other people have got, the money that they are paying is quite frightening. My lads' spirit has got us there. Their ability has helped us this year and after we made the odd mistake it looked like their body language was horrible.
"It's not very nice when you reflect on the goals we have let in."
