With one eye on the weather, he added: "Hopefully somebody will be there watching it, though, because without anybody watching the game, what's the point of playing it?
The fourth-placed Bluebirds have been beaten four times at home in the league this term - more than any other team in the top 10 - and Holloway is optimistic the Seasiders will make it five on Saturday as they look to brush aside last week's 2-1 home loss to Ipswich in the cup.
"Anybody in this division can be beaten by anyone else and that's the beautiful thing about it," he told the club website.
"Cardiff are no mean team on their own ground. I think they've scored quite a few goals there as well. Anything could happen.
"We've got to be on our game and get back to winning ways after last Saturday, where we didn't finish off enough of our good football and ended up losing the game."
On Thursday, Holloway was charged with improper conduct by the Football Association for his touchline antics last week.
Pool finished with nine men with Ian Evatt and Rob Edwards both dismissed, the latter prompting Holloway to strip off his jacket and throw it to the ground in front of the dugout. Once he had been sent to the stands, he shouted his disapproval at the refereeing during the match.
Holloway is determined there will be no repeat on Saturday, adding: "I'm enjoying watching my team play and I'd prefer to watch it from the side because I let them down last weekend in a very petulant manner which I apologise to our fans for but I was quite incensed for poor Rob Edwards."
Victory on Saturday could lift eighth-spotted Blackpool into the play-off places.
Leaders Newcastle's trip to Reading was an early victim of the weather, along with seventh-placed Sheffield United's trip to Watford, Preston's home game against Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday's basement battle with Peterborough at Hillsborough.
QPR's home game against Plymouth and Middlesbrough's clash with Swansea at the Riverside also fell this lunchtime.
That left only four of Saturday's Championship matches still on, as of 1300 today.
Barnsley manager Mark Robins could make one or two changes as his side look to extend their eight-match unbeaten league run and move into the top half with victory at Coventry.
Robins, who has no new injury or suspension worries, has the luxury of choosing from a full-strength squad, but admitted his players had under-performed when going down at Scunthorpe last weekend in the FA Cup.
The Tykes boss has plenty of options with the likes of Jon Macken, Iain Hume, Adam Hammill, Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Darren Moore all starting on the substitutes' bench at Glanford Park.
Robins said: "People have to be on their toes at the moment because there are a lot of other players at the club tugging at the shirt to take it from them."
Fourth-bottom Scunthorpe can give themselves some breathing space from the drop zone by downing Derby.
The Iron will welcome back top scorer Gary Hooper for the trip to Pride Park. The striker has missed the last three games with an ankle injury followed by a bout of flu but should feature against Nigel Clough's men.
Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock insists their infamous last meeting with Bristol City will have no bearing on Saturday's return match between the two.
Palace were enraged at Ashton Gate earlier in the season when a perfectly good Freddie Sears goal was not given by referee Rob Shoebridge after the ball bounced back out of the net.
And Warnock's mood was not helped when City went on to win the game with a late goal.
But he said: "We have got to concentrate on the game itself.
"What happened at Bristol is in the past and we cannot be thinking about that."
Second-spotted West Brom can close the gap on Newcastle by beating third-placed Nottingham Forest at The Hawthorns on Friday night.
