Parkes who left the Seasiders hot-seat in May to spend more time to look after his wife was still to upset to comment further.
He was Simon Grayson's assistant as Pool finally returned to the Championship after a gap of 28 years and after helping Pool retain their Championship status he was suddenly thrust into the role of caretaker manager along with Steve Thomson when Grayson left to manage Leeds United.
Throughout his term as caretaker he was was also managing the care of his ill wife yet despite this he still led Pool to their highest finish in the Championship.
