But the leveller finally came just before the hour mark when a long throw from Mark Allott evaded everyone in the penalty area and Hurst slotted home from the right wing.
Although the pattern of Blackpool's superiority continued there was one chance for the Spireites to grab all three points when Allott's shot from the edge of the box was tipped just over by Evans.
At the other end Roche had to be on his guard when Andy Morrell scampered after a through ball from Burgess but the big keeper did well to smother the ball.
